Kapil Dhir

Kapil Dhir is the Head of Legal & Compliance of EGS. He has held this position since January 2020. He joined Cigna in 2018 and has worked in the insurance sector since qualifying as a lawyer.

He is responsible for all legal, compliance and governance matters across Europe, and in his role as a member of the International Health legal leadership team, he oversees legal and compliance work related to supplier and related third party contracting, as well as legal and compliance aspects of our International Health innovation work involving new technologies and services purchased, licensed and/or deployed around the world. He is a member of the management committees of our European insurers, and a director of Cigna Global Insurance Company Ltd.

Prior to joining Cigna in 2018 he was the Chief Compliance Officer for a major international healthcare insurer. Until 2012 he was a partner and led the corporate and regulatory insurance practice for a leading International law firm. 

He has held approved roles (both as a director and as a functional lead) with regulators around the world including the UK and Ireland.

Kapil graduated with an LLB from the University of Manchester and is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
