More than 1 in 3 Belgians and Dutch working from home are putting in longer hours

According to new research by Cigna Europe

"It’s hugely important for us to drive change and deliver healthcare innovations that connect our customers and our employees with the best care possible"

Arjan Toor, CEO, Cigna Europe

Recognising the need for change to support its own employees' needs, Cigna Europe is carrying out a complete corporate culture overhaul in its pursuit to become a true Whole Health® employer – ensuring Whole Health is the reality for its employees.

Since the start of the global pandemic, 39% of Belgian and Dutch people working from home have been putting in longer hours, according to Cigna Europe’s annual flagship Well-Being 360° survey. This same survey also revealed that too many employees struggle with unmanageable stress, often leading to mental health issues – a health aspect that is considerably becoming more and more important. Employers need to take action now.

“It is essential for employers to focus on closing the gap between  what employees expect in terms of their overall Whole Health® and what they actually receive"
