Liam Hughes

Liam Hughes is the Chief Commercial Officer of Group Health. He has held this position since October 2022. 

Liam Hughes has spent the majority of his career at Cigna in the Underwriting team. He joined the company in 1990 and has progressed through a number of roles to his current position. Liam started in Underwriting for UK Employer Health and then moved to Global Employer Health. There he became director of Client Management in 2012. From 2018 to 2019 he was European Sales and Client Management director.

He now has overall direction of the Sales and Client Management functions for International Organisations, governments and European employers, which requires overseeing the profitable growth and retention of Group Health’s portfolio.

Liam graduated with an MBA from Glasgow Caledonian University.
