Helga Gils
Chief Operating Officer, Group Health and APAC
Helga Gils is the Chief Operating Officer of EGS Group Health and APAC. She has held this position since January 2020 (EGS) / April 2023 (APAC). Michiel de Jager (EGS Group Health director) and Steven Sun (APAC lead) report into her.
She joined Cigna in 1997 and started at the IOH Contact Center, and has progressed through a number of roles to her current position.
Helga has overall end responsibility for our operational teams across our sites in Antwerp, Madrid, Greenock, Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi. She is also part of the IHDS (International Health Delivery Services) SLT where she supports the team with key strategic initiatives such as the access to care strategy, process optimization and location strategy
Helga graduated from the Karel de Grote Hogeschool and has a degree in Office Management / Languages.
